I had a walk around the grounds of Chatsworth House yesterday, the photo's are on my web site in the camera option of the photo slideshow. I would have taken more but they had a hideous modern art show in the grounds, it was like someone had graffitied all over the beautiful landscape.

Well I've finally finished making my bush craft knife, and for those of you who enjoy the great outdoors, I'd recommend you have a go at making one yourself. The sense of achievement you get from making your blade, and the pride you get when using it in the field, will bring a smile to your face every time you use it, knowing you actually made it.

There's a tutorial on how to make a char wod that will catch a spark from fire steel or flint for lighting fires.

Finally there is a survival blog on snares & traps. Please note these are DANGEROUS and are only ment to be used in a survival situation. Remember these are living beings too, so if you do find yourself in a survival situation be greatfull that an animal has given up it's life so you may live.
